New technologies for electrical interconnection in aeronautics
This project is led by Carbures Engineering (MDU), with the participation of AIRBUS Defense and Space, AERTEC Solutions and YFLOW. The objective is the development and validation of new manufacturing technologies, framed in the paradigm of Industry 4.0, which allow the manufacture of electrical products based on alternative materials that allow to avoid the dependence on copper, which is heavier and with lower performance .
NIOBE goal is to develop a new model for the manufacture of electrical wiring and switching boards for aircrafts from a new perspective based on the state of the art of technology and new development methodologies (automation, high added value, quality and competitiveness). For this purpose, both novel materials (such as polymer fibers doped with carbon nanotubes, conductive inks and flexible electrical materials) and the application of digital control concepts for them will be researched.
The NIOBE project with file number ITC-20151061, has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), through the "2014-2020 Intelligent Growth Operational Program" and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, through the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (CDTI), within the framework of the FEDER INNTERCONECTA 2015 call.
