The final meeting of the eFeCTO project was recently held at the IMDEA Energy facilities in Madrid where the final results of the work carried out for more than 3 years were announced.
eFeCTO project
The overall objective of the project has been the development of an advanced online concentrated solar flow measurement system for solar thermal power plants with central or tower receiver technology.
The specific objectives have been the following:
- Development of specific point sensors (optical and/or thermal) for the precise and robust measurement of solar radiation concentrated in the conditions demanded by commercial plants.
- Combination of point measurement systems (sensors, thermocouples) with systems capable of measuring and/or estimating large global areas (VIS and IR cameras)
- Integration of these systems in the design of solar receivers of tower plants.
- Analysis and evaluation of the integration of the measurement system in the plant control system.

MLabs Optronics
MLabs Optronics has participated in the eFeCTO project as a company specialized in the design, development and implementation of quality control projects through image processing, either in the visible spectrum and/or in other spectra such as infrared LWIR, NIR, SWIR, etc.
